Gonzaga’s Chris Lykes led all scorers with 19 points as the Eagles beat Garfield 53-43 in a game at Liberty HS.”

Lykes’ points came on 3 field goals, 3 three pointers and 4 of 5 free throws during the game.

Garfield was led by J’raan Brooks’ 20 points and Mekhi Metcalf added 7. Garfield fell to 0-0 overall while Gonzaga improved their record to 0-0.

Gonzaga will travel to on Friday Jan. 20 at 7:15pm to play Our Lady Of Good Counsel.
