Mercer Island edges Liberty 56-54

Mercer Island’s Griffin Emanuels led all scorers with 19 points as the Islanders beat Liberty 56-54 in a game at Mercer Island HS.”

Emanuels’ points came on 7 field goals, 1 three pointer and 2 of 2 free throws during the game.

Liberty was led by Jake Elfstrom’s 11 points and Bo Moawad added 9. Liberty fell to 0-1 overall while Mercer Island improved their record to 1-1.

Mercer Island will travel to Sammamish on Tuesday Jan. 10 at 7:00pm to play Sammamish.
