Monroe Guard Taylor Sturgeon led all scorers with 18 points as the Bearcats beat Jackson 66-60 in a game at Monroe HS.”

Sturgeon’s points came on 4 field goals, 2 three pointers and 4 of 4 free throws during the game.

Jackson was led by Christian Liddell’s 22 points and Ben Olesen added 21. Jackson fell to 4-1 overall while Monroe improved their record to 1-0.

Jackson’s next game is scheduled to be played at home on Friday Dec. 15 at 7:15pm versus Glacier Peak. Monroe will travel to Lake Stevens HS on Friday Dec. 15 at 7:15pm to play Lake Stevens.
