Mater Dei Monarchs beat Eastside Catholic Crusaders 70-58 in Washington high school basketball game

Mater Dei Guard Devin Askew led all scorers with 22 points as the Monarchs beat Eastside Catholic Crusaders 70-58 in a game at Liberty High School.

Askew’s points came on 7 field goals, 1 three pointer and 5 of 7 free throws during the game.

Jt Tuimoloau added 12. Eastside Catholic fell to 7-1 overall while Mater Dei improved their record to 12-1.

Eastside Catholic’s next game is scheduled to be played at on Friday Jan. 3 at 8:30pm versus Franklin. Mater Dei will travel to cancer Research Classic - Wheeling, WV on Friday Jan. 3 at 6:20pm to play Bishop Walsh.
