Mercer Island’s Griffin Emanuels led the way with 19 points as the Islanders beat Juanita 53-50 in a game at mihs .”

Emanuels’ points came on 6 field goals, 1 three pointer and 4 of 4 free throws during the game.

Juanita was led by Darius Johnson’s 19 points and Brighton Maughn added 13. Juanita fell to 8-5 overall while Mercer Island improved their record to 8-8.

Juanita’s next game is scheduled to be played at home on Tuesday Jan. 16 at 7:15pm versus Lake Washington. Mercer Island will travel to Liberty HS on Tuesday Jan. 16 at 7:15pm to play Liberty.
