Newport Grizzlies defeat Freeman Scotties 65-56 in Washington high school basketball game

Newport’s Michael Owen led all scorers with 22 points as the Grizzlies beat Freeman Scotties 65-56 in a game.

Owen’s points came on 10 field goals and 2 of 3 free throws during the game.

Quin Goldsmith added 9. Freeman fell to 2-5 overall while Newport improved their record to 3-0.

Freeman’s next game is scheduled to be played at on Tuesday Dec. 18 at 5:30pm versus Colville. Newport will travel to on Saturday Dec. 15 at 5:30pm to play Freeman.
