Newport Grizzlies defeat Lakeside Eagles 60-50 in Washington high school basketball game

Newport’s Michael Owen led all scorers with 17 points as the Grizzlies beat Lakeside Eagles 60-50 in a game.

Owen’s points came on 8 field goals and 1 of 4 free throws during the game.

Crosby Geisa added 9. Lakeside fell to 10-6 overall while Newport improved their record to 12-1.

Lakeside’s next game is scheduled to be played at on Tuesday Jan. 22 at 7:15pm versus Riverside. Newport will travel to on Saturday Jan. 19 at 7:15pm to play Freeman.
