Kennewick Lions defeat Sunnyside Grizzlies 78-66 in Washington high school basketball game

Kennewick’s Ayoni Benavidez led the way with 23 points as the Lions beat Sunnyside Grizzlies 78-66 in a game at Sunnyside High School.

Benavidez’s points came on 8 field goals, 2 three pointers and 1 of 2 free throws during the game.

Daniel Singleterry added 15. Sunnyside fell to 1-3 overall while Kennewick improved their record to 1-0.

Sunnyside’s next game is scheduled to be played at home on Saturday Dec. 8 at 7:30pm versus West Valley. Kennewick will host Hermiston on Saturday Dec. 8 at 7:30pm.
