Shelton Highclimbers defeat Peninsula Seahawks 71-65 in Washington high school basketball game

Shelton’s Ty Thompson led the way with 19 points as the Highclimbers beat Peninsula Seahawks 71-65 in a game at Peninsula High School.

Thompson’s points came on 6 field goals and 7 of 13 free throws during the game.

Kaleb Lichau added 17. Peninsula fell to 5-9 overall while Shelton improved their record to 9-6.

Peninsula’s next game is scheduled to be played at home on Friday Jan. 18 at 7:00pm versus Yelm. Shelton will host Yelm on Wednesday Jan. 16 at 7:00pm.
