Columbia River crushes Mark Morris 53-32

QB Mathew Asplund racked up 234 passing yards and threw for 2 touchdowns to lead Columbia River to a 53-32 win over Mark Morris on Friday night at Columbia River High School.

The Chieftains also recieved vital efforts from WR Kanen Eaton who caught 3 passes for 113 yards and 1 touchdown and RB Koben Jamison who rushed 10 times for 80 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Mark Morris’ QB Cole Busch threw for 74 yards and 1 touchdown, RB Keoni Makaiwi picked up 147 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns and QB Dawson Fritz had 38 receiving yards and 1 touchdown.

The win helps Columbia River improve to 4-4 on the season while Mark Morris falls to 1-7. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Columbia River travels to Ridgefield, WA to take on the Ridgefield Spudders on Friday October 27 at 7:00pm. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
