Eastside Catholic cruises by Garfield 43-8

QB Zach Lewis picked up 181 passing yards and threw for 1 touchdown to guide Eastside Catholic to a 43-8 win over Garfield on Friday night at Mem.Stad.

The Crusaders also recieved vital efforts from RB Giovanni Ursino who rushed 22 times for 87 yards and 4 touchdowns and WR Gee Scott Jr. who caught 3 passes for 79 yards and 1 touchdown.

Garfield’s QB Colby Burton threw for 158 yards and 1 touchdown, RB J Hibbard picked up 48 rushing yards and WR Tre’Shaun Harrison had 98 receiving yards and 1 touchdown.

The win helps Eastside Catholic improve to 5-0 on the season while Garfield falls to 2-3. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Eastside Catholic will face off against the O’Dea Fighting Irish at home on Friday October 6 at 7:00pm. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
