Garfield cruises by Roosevelt 59-15

QB Javon Tade racked up 346 passing yards and threw for 3 touchdowns to guide Garfield to a 59-15 win over Roosevelt on Friday night at Mem.Stad.

The Bulldogs also recieved impressive efforts from WR Mekhi Metcalf who caught 10 passes for 144 yards and WR Marcell Robinson who caught 5 passes for 123 yards and 1 touchdown.

Roosevelt’s QB Zach Joss threw for 176 yards and 1 touchdown, RB Robin Lyons-Santiago picked up 56 rushing yards and WR Dylan Jacobi had 121 receiving yards and 1 touchdown.

The win helps Garfield improve to 3-4 on the season while Roosevelt falls to 2-5. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Garfield will challenge the O’Dea Fighting Irish at home on Friday October 20 at 5:00pm. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.

Roosevelt will take on the Eastside Catholic Crusaders at home on Friday October 20 at 7:45pm. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
