Mt. Spokane defeats Peninsula 23-6

QB Quentin Ayers picked up 103 rushing yards and scored 2 touchdowns to lead Mt. Spokane to a 23-6 win over Peninsula on Friday night at RoyAnFld.
The Wildcats also recieved major efforts from WR Cole Hattenburg who rushed 15 times for 89 yards and WR Jacob Adams who rushed 10 times for 35 yards.
Peninsula’s QB Burke Griffin threw for 230 yards and 1 touchdown, WR Alex Beloate picked up 35 rushing yards and WR Jace Keim had 115 receiving yards and 1 touchdown.
The win helps Mt. Spokane improve to 1-0 on the season. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.
Mt. Spokane travels to Sandpoint, ID to challenge the Sandpoint Bulldogs on Friday September 8 at 7:00pm. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
