Columbia River defeats Woodland 19-13

QB Mathew Asplund had 132 passing yards to lead Columbia River to a 19-13 win over Woodland on Friday night at Woodland High School.

The Chieftains also recieved major efforts from RB Jarrett Seelbinder who rushed 15 times for 91 yards and 1 touchdown and WR Nathan Kunz who caught 2 passes for 60 yards.

Woodland’s QB Wyatt Harsh threw for 193 yards and 2 touchdowns and WR Christian Yager had 90 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns.

The win helps Columbia River improve to 3-3 on the season while Woodland falls to 2-4. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Columbia River will challenge the Hockinson Hawks at home on Friday October 13 at 7:00pm. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
