Columbia River defeats Evergreen 13-7

QB Matt asp lune racked up 75 passing yards and threw for 1 touchdown to help Columbia River to a 13-7 win over Evergreen on Friday night at McKenzie.

The Chieftains also recieved crucial efforts from RB Kanen Easton who caught 3 passes for 36 yards and 1 touchdown and RB Korean Jamison who caught 2 passes for 16 yards.

Evergreen’s QB Triston Fich threw for 29 yards and WR Miguel Cruz picked up 48 rushing yards and 1 touchdown.

The win helps Columbia River improve to 1-0 on the season. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Columbia River will challenge the Tumwater Thunderbirds at home on Friday September 8 at 7:00pm. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
