Pullman crushes Cheney 28-7

Jed Byers had 144 rushing yards and scored 2 touchdowns to lead Pullman to a 28-7 win over Cheney on Friday night at Cheney High School.

The Greyhounds also recieved crucial efforts from TJ Newman who rushed 4 times for 27 yards and Isaiah Strong who caught 1 pass for 31 yards and 1 touchdown.

Cheney’s QB Cole Hinrichs threw for 28 yards, RB Charles Johnson picked up 57 rushing yards and 1 touchdown and TE Luke Martin had 15 receiving yards.

With the loss, Cheney falls to 0-8 on the season. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Pullman will challenge the East Valley Knights at home on Friday October 27 at 7:00pm. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
