Mead beats University 17-7

LB Kannon Katzer racked up 134 rushing yards and scored 2 touchdowns to guide Mead to a 17-7 win over University on Tuesday night at Joe Albi Stadium.

The Panthers also recieved key efforts from QB Ryan Chan who completed 4 passes for 50 yards and WR Lucas Bacon who caught 3 passes for 40 yards.

University’s QB Gavin Wolcott threw for 91 yards and 1 touchdown, RB Terrell Sanders picked up 34 rushing yards and WR Kye Duplessis had 79 receiving yards and 1 touchdown.

Tonight’s game was the second matchup between the two teams. In the previous game Friday September 15, Mead came out in front, 17-7.
