Gonzaga Prep crushes Mead 50-18

QB Connor Halonen picked up 166 rushing yards and scored 4 touchdowns to lead Gonzaga Prep to a 50-18 win over Mead on Thursday night at Joe Albi Stadium.

The Bullpups also received helpful efforts from RB Eric Floyd who caught 3 passes for 100 yards and 1 touchdown and CB Jake Parola who rushed 8 times for 81 yards and 1 touchdown.

Mead’s QB Ryan Blair threw for 161 yards and 1 touchdown, RB CALEB SHAWEN picked up 10 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns and LB Keli’l Zalopany had 92 receiving yards.

The win helps Gonzaga Prep improve to 5-2 on the season while Mead falls to 3-4. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Gonzaga Prep will face off against the Ferris Saxons at home on Friday October 19 at 7:00pm. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.

Mead will face off against the Lewis & Clark Tigers at home on Thursday October 18 at 7:00pm. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
