Chewelah Cougars edges Northport Mustangs 48-45 in Washington high school basketball game

Chewelah’s Bailey Smith led the way with 19 points as the Cougars beat Northport Mustangs 48-45 in a game at Kettle Falls Middle School-Christmas Tournament.

Smith’s points came on 7 field goals, 1 three pointer and 2 of 5 free throws during the game.

Brianna Young added 8. while Chewelah improved their record to 7-3.

Chewelah will host Mary Walker on Wednesday Jan. 2 at 6:00pm.
