Chewelah Cougars defeat Wilbur-Creston Wildcats 57-42 in Washington high school basketball game

Chewelah’s Bailey Smith led all scorers with 18 points as the Cougars beat Wilbur-Creston Wildcats 57-42 in a game at Chewelah.

Smith’s points came on 5 field goals, 1 three pointer and 5 of 9 free throws during the game.

Sydney Schmierer added 7. Wilbur Creston fell to 2-5 overall while Chewelah improved their record to 10-8.

Wilbur Creston’s next game is scheduled to be played at home on Saturday Feb. 2 at 4:00pm versus Mary Walker. Chewelah will travel to Davenport on Tuesday Jan. 29 at 6:00pm to play Davenport.
