Yelm Tornados cruises by Shelton Highclimbers 59-36 in Washington high school basketball game

Yelm Combo Guard Maddie Plevyak led all scorers with 18 points as the Tornados beat Shelton Highclimbers 59-36 in a game at Yelm High School.

Plevyak’s points came on 2 field goals, 4 three pointers and 2 of 4 free throws during the game.

Carlie Thompson added 9. Shelton fell to 4-11 overall while Yelm improved their record to 8-6.

Shelton’s next game is scheduled to be played at home on Wednesday Jan. 23 at 7:00pm versus Timberline. Yelm will host Peninsula on Friday Jan. 18 at 7:00pm.
