Lakeside’s Kendra Gay led all scorers with 17 points as the Eagles beat Newport Grizzlies 45-33 in a game.

Gay’s points came on 7 field goals and 3 of 6 free throws during the game.

Evelyn Jurgens added 6. Newport fell to 1-1 overall while Lakeside improved their record to 1-6.

Newport’s next game is scheduled to be played at on Friday Dec. 14 at 7:15pm versus Lakeside. Lakeside will host Newport on Friday Dec. 14 at 7:15pm.
