Lakeside’s Maiya Martinez led all scorers with 12 points as the Eagles beat Newport Grizzlies 50-38 in a game.

Martinez’s points came on 4 three pointers during the game.

Cydni Lewis added 8. Newport fell to 2-12 overall while Lakeside improved their record to 5-11.

Newport’s next game is scheduled to be played at on Saturday Jan. 19 at 5:30pm versus Freeman. Lakeside will travel to on Tuesday Jan. 22 at 5:30pm to play Riverside.
