Mount Vernon Bulldogs beat Monroe Bearcats 54-43 in Washington high school basketball game

Mount Vernon’s Miranda Johnson led all scorers with 20 points as the Bulldogs beat Monroe Bearcats 54-43 in a game at Mount Vernon High School.

Johnson’s points came on 4 field goals, 3 three pointers and 3 of 6 free throws during the game.

Madelyn Axelson added 8. Monroe fell to 6-10 overall while Mount Vernon improved their record to 6-9.

Monroe’s next game is scheduled to be played at home on Friday Jan. 25 at 7:15pm versus Jackson. Mount Vernon will travel to on Friday Jan. 25 at 7:15pm to play Cascade.
