2019 Columbia Basin Big-Nine all-league girls basketball team: Sunnyside's Ashlee Maldonado named MVP
Sunnyside High School senior guard Ashlee Maldonado has been named the 2019 girls basketball MVP in the 4A Columbia Basin Big-Nine league. Maldonado, who will play at Santa Clara next season, led Sunnyside to a league and district title and the No. 9 seed in the 4A state tournament.
Sunnyside's season continues Saturday at 12 p.m. with a regional matchup against No. 16 Newport (Bellevue).
