Dodgers: James Outman Reveals Incredible Superstition

James Outman reveals his locker room secret and it's surprising but nonetheless quite hilarious.

James Outman already stole the hearts of many during his major league debut last summer but just wait until you get to know him better.

Dodger Nation's Doug McKain had the opportunity to sit down with the LA prospective outfielder and got some interesting answers out of him including an insight into his baseball superstition:

Hey Outman, whatever works for you, just keep doing it because like Doug said, it clearly paid off in that debut at-bat.

The Dodgers prospect was selected in the 7th round of the 2018 MLB Draft from Cal State Sacramento. The Redwood City native split the 2021 season between Tulsa and Great Lakes before playing in the Arizona Fall League.

The following year, he spent most of his time in OKC with a few call-ups to the big leagues. Although he only appeared in four games with the Los Angeles Dodgers, he posted a .563 OBP and .462 BA across 13 at-bats.

With both Cody Bellinger and Joey Gallo's departures this offseason, it seemed like Outman was going get a lot of opportunities in the outfield this upcoming season.

But that was before the Dodgers signed David Peralta that could possibly bump Outman off the roster. We know Mookie will take the right field as usual and both Trayce Thompson and Chris Taylor have experience in centerfield.

So then it leaves 28-year-old Outman fighting it out with Jason Heyward, Peralta, and possibly even Miggy Vargas for the final outfield position.

But let's not count him out (man) just yet.
