Dodgers News: Dave Roberts Reveals Pitch Limit for Bobby Miller

The game plan is coming together for the Dodgers.

With NLDS Game 2 getting underway, Bobby Miller makes his first postseason start ever and takes the mound for the first time in more than a week. All eyes will certainly be on the Dodgers rookie right-hander in LA who is expected to pitch deep into the game following Clayton Kershaw's Game 1 struggles.

How deep Miller goes, however, manager Dave Roberts addressed before the game.

"I think 80 to 90 pitches, 95 pitches, something like that would be a ceiling. I do know we've got four guys in the pen that are raring and anxious to pitch that are a big reason why we are here tonight. So to be able to use those guys tonight, I think, is of benefit."

Roberts added that there was no exact game plan the team is working off of and would treat the evening as more of a "read and react" situation.

"I'm just going to sit here and watch Bobby and I trust Bobby. I expect him to take down a lot of outs tonight and then we'll see where we go from there."

By all accounts, Miller is ready to be a workhorse for LA this October, but that all starts with a shutdown outing on Monday night.
