Dodgers Superstar Launches a YouTube Channel for Behind-the-Scenes Action

Dodgers right-fielder Mookie Betts has launched a new YouTube channel that will hopefully give some insights into Mookie's life on and off the field.

Before all the drama and the breakup, former Dodgers pitcher Trevor Bauer's YouTube channel was a fun look behind the scenes at Dodger Stadium and around the team. For fans missing that sort of content, right-fielder Mookie Betts might have the solution for you.

Betts announced on Monday that he's launching a new YouTube channel that will show "a lot in the life of Mookie Betts." His introduction video, set to "Get Dangerous!" by Frank Bentley and Anthony Mareo, gives a preview of some of the content we can expect, from batting practice to bowling to sitting in an ice bath with Kevin Hart.

This looks like a more heavily produced endeavor than Bauer's channel. While Bauer was behind the camera or in selfie mode most of the time, what we can see so far of Betts' channel is him being the star, not the producer. It's a different approach, but it could still provide a really cool look into Mookie's life.

The big question, of course, will be honesty and authenticity. In order to really grab people's attention, the channel will have to give insights and information we can't get elsewhere. Betts doesn't have nearly the same "look at me" personality as Bauer, so he might have to fight his instincts in order to give us the kind of entertaining content we're looking for.

Besides the introduction video, Mookie has the first video, "Off-season Hitting Workout at Dodger Stadium," set to premiere at 3pm Pacific today (Monday, February 27). It will give us a good idea what we can expect going forward from the channel.
