Yankees' Harrison Bader Dealing With Oblique Issue

Yankees center fielder Harrison Bader is dealing with an oblique issue and is headed for testing.

The hits keep on coming for the Yankees.

Center fielder Harrison Bader is dealing with an oblique issue and is headed for further testing, as Yankees manager Aaron Boone told reporters on Thursday.

Bader's oblique injury popped up on a swing in his final at-bat of Wednesday's Grapefruit League game.

Depending on the severity, oblique injuries typically take up to 4-6 weeks to recover from. While the Yankees await Bader's test results, for the moment, his status for Opening Day appears to be in question.

Bader's injury news comes on the same day, in which GM Brian Cashman revealed that Carlos Rodon (forearm strain), Lou Trivino (elbow strain) and Tommy Kahnle (right biceps tendinitis) would all begin the regular season on the IL.

Should Bader be forced to miss time, Boone named: Aaron Hicks, Rafael Ortega, Estevan Florial and Aaron Judge, as potential replacement options in center field.
