Despite a lively performance against the Phoenix Suns, in which the Bulls lost in overtime (116-115), Dalen Terry did not play. Following this, the team announced the assignment officially on Thursday

More playing time

Terry, Arizona's 18th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, has had minimal playing action this season, averaging 1.8 points and 1.0 rebound in 2.8 minutes per game across four games. The 21-year-old averaged 2.2 points and 1.0 rebounds in 5.6 minutes per game as a rookie.

The G League assignment is viewed as a smart decision to give Terry more significant playing experience as well as opportunities to display and improve his skills. The decision coincides with the commencement of the Windy City Bulls' training camp, which begins shortly after the announcement.

Terry's youth and potential for progress make his G League stay an important aspect of his development. He appeared in ten G League regular-season games and three Showcase Cup games last season.

The Chicago Bulls, who have a 3-6 record in their first nine games, are trying to strengthen their standing in the Eastern Conference.
