The 2023 NBA draft has officially come and gone, and with it, a new face has been added to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Koby Altman and the organization selected Emoni Bates out of Eastern Michigan with the 49th overall pick in the draft.

Even though the Cavs had just that one pick, they still added another talented player following the draft. Craig Porter Jr., out of Wichita State, agreed to a two-way contract with the Cavaliers following the draft.

Porter Jr. played the last three seasons as a Shocker after starting his collegiate career at Vincennes University (IN). In his final season at Wichita State, he averaged 13.5 points and 4.9 assists per game. The six-foot-two guard also demonstrated promising defense averaging 1.5 blocks and assists.

The stats also like Porter Jr.'s shot from behind the arc. He knocked down 36 percent of the threes he took last season and shot 35 percent from behind the arc over the last three seasons.

Cleveland needed to add another point guard into the mix after falling thin at that position last season. Porter Jr. may not be the team's backup immediately, but there certainly is a path for him to get there.
