Las Vegas Summer League Preview: Top Prospects and Matchups in Highly Anticipated Event

Following two separate summer circuits in Salt Lake City and Sacramento, the premier event is officially here. All 30 teams will be represented in Las Vegas in the most popular NBA Summer League of the year.

A total of 76 games will be played over 11 days in Las Vegas with games split between the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion on the campus of UNLV. According to the NBA, each team will play at least five games, with a possibility of a sixth for any team that makes the four-team playoff. After each team plays four games, the top four will advance to the playoffs and participate in a semifinal game (July 16) followed by the two winners of that round advancing to the championship game (July 17). The top four playoff seeds will be determined by winning percentage with tiebreakers that can be found here. The 26 teams that do not advance to Summer League playoffs will play a fifth and final game on either July 15 or July 16.

Every single contest will be televised on ESPN networks (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and ESPNews) as well as NBA TV and the NBA App.

All throughout the event, there will be exciting individual matchups. However, the first two days will boast the most head-to-head talent as it relates to top rookies. Most notably, Friday night will feature Victor Wembamyama against Brandon Miller, as the top two picks in the 2023 NBA Draft face off. This is one of the most anticipated matchups in summer league history, as tickets have now been sold out for several days.

The Draft Digest team will be covering the event from Las Vegas in-person over the next week. Make sure to keep up with all of our updated NBA Summer League content as it releases.
