NBA Draft 2023: Early Entry Candidates Are Set

The National Basketball Association announced on Wednesday that 242 players filed as early entry candidates for the 2023 NBA Draft.
One of the more highly anticipated drafts in recent years, it’s headlined by French phenom Victor Wembanyama, G League Ignite standout Scoot Henderson and collegiate star Brandon Miller, but is deep throughout the entire first round and into the second.

The pool includes 48 international prospects, highlighted by Wembanayama and Bilal Coulibaly of Levallois, Rayan Rupert of the NBL and Nikola Djurisic of Mega Basket, among others.
Players who have entered their name for early entry are able to withdraw their names from conservation for the Draft by notifying the league in writing before Monday, June 12. If they have NCAA eligibility and wish to return, they must withdraw by Wednesday, May 31.

The NBA draft lottery and combine kick off on Tuesday, May 16. Three teams currently have the best odds (14 percent) at the top selection: Detroit, Houston and San Antonio. Charlotte owns a 12.5 percent chance and Portland has a 10.5 percent chance at No. 1.
