The 2025 NBA Draft conversation is heating up with the College Basketball season in the rearview mirror and the 82 game regular season wrapped up in the NBA. Now, all sights turn to the NBA Draft Lottery in May.

The Pre-Lottery pick slots will be refined this week at the conclusion of the NBA Play-In Tournament. One thing that will not change is that the Utah Jazz –– who finished the regular season with a league-worst 17-65 record –– will have the best lottery odds with a 14% chance to land the top pick and the lowest they can tumble being fifth.

In the latest Mock Draft from NBA Draft Expert Derek Parker, the Utah Jazz earned the No. 1 overall pick once the Tankathon simulation stopped spinning. This gave the Jazz a slam dunk pick.

"With the No. 1 overall pick the Utah Jazz select Cooper Flagg," Parker said the five words every Jazz fan hopes to hear in June. "Effectively kicking off a new era of Jazz basketball. With Utah, I think Flagg would cause a bit of a domino effect in terms of making all the other prospects jobs easier."

"Isaiah Collier would be more freed up at guard, tons of scoring pressure would be taken off of Keyonte George, Players like Kyle Filipowski, Cody Williams and Taylor Hendricks would be able to be positionally fluent," the Draft expert continued.

The Jazz would get its No. 1 option and face of the franchise after a few years of rebuilding and have to feel really good about its long-term future should they win the No. 1 pick in the Lottery.
