How Miami Heat's Twitter Reacted To Thursday's Loss To The Dallas Mavericks

The Miami Heat lost their highly contested battle against the Dallas Mavericks Thursday night.

The Miami Heat couldn't continue their win streak Thursday night after dropping to Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks.

Doncic had 35 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists, marking his fifth consecutive 30-point triple double. Miami's early double-digit lead evaporated as Doncic, Kyrie Irving and center Daniel Gafford got going. They kept it competitive in the fourth quarter but efforts from Doncic, Irving and guard Dante Exum clinched it for Dallas.

Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo went a combined 11 of 26 from the field for just 28 points. Adebayo was the center of criticism after his performance.

At least fans were content with Terry Rozier, who had his best performance in Miami so far with 27 points, six rebounds and 11 assists.

Duncan Robinson also had a solid performance with 19 points on 5 of 8 shooting from 3-point range.

The Heat have won 11 of their last 15 games, but their four losses are against championship or high playoff contenders. All the losses have been close though, so hopefully they can find a way to close out against tougher opponents as they approach the postseason.

"One of our best starts to a game which led to a 15 point lead completely wasted," user HeatCulture said. "This game is on Jimmy and Bam, our two stars gotta set the tone. Shoutout to Terry and Duncan for actually trying to win this game. Gotta bounce back and win tomorrow."

The Heat play the Oklahoma City Thunder (43-19) Friday night.
