The Golden State Warriors had a crucial win against the Charlotte Hornets last night, but one of the biggest concerns of the night was the unexpected late scratch of Klay Thompson for the game.

After the game, Warriors coach Steve Kerr addressed Klay Thompson's sudden knee injury, noting that it was one he started feeling against the Orlando Magic.

"He said he felt it a little bit in the Orlando game," Kerr said. "He thought he was going to be fine, but during warmups pregame, it kinda stiffened up on him. Rick worked with him on the table before the game and decided not a good idea for him to play."

As of right now, Klay Thompson's status against the San Antonio Spurs is still very much up in the air. On paper, the Golden State Warriors shouldn't need Klay Thompson to defeat a Spurs team with only 18 wins at the bottom of the Western Conference. However, the Spurs have won three straight impressive games against the Phoenix Suns, Utah Jazz, and New York Knicks. The emergence of Victor Wembanyama is a tremendous x-factor that no team should be sleeping on right now. The San Antonio Spurs are not the cake walk that they were at the start of the NBA season.

The Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs face off on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. EST.
