San Francisco 49ers tight end Vernon Davis is currently questionable for the team's game Sunday against the Cardinals in Arizona, coach Jim Harbaugh announced Friday.
Davis reportedly injured his ankle during the Sept. 14 loss to the Chicago Bears. Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee reported seeing Davis limping through the team's locker room on Thursday. According to San Francisco's injury report, the tight end did not participate in practice on Wednesday or Thursday due to issues with his ankle and knee.
So far this season, Davis, entering his ninth year in the league, has seven receptions for 83 yards and two touchdowns. Last season, his 13 touchdowns led the team, and his 52 receptions for 850 yards were second only to Anquan Boldin.
Harbaugh, during the announcement, also said that quarterback Colin Kaepernick was "probable," despite concerns about his back.
