Tyler Eifert Jokes About Return With Bengals Searching For Help at Tight End

The 32-year-old spent the first seven seasons of his career in Cincinnati.

CINCINNATI — The Bengals' tight end room is a bit thin after losing Hayden Hurst in free agency.

It felt like Cincinnati was poised to land a veteran in free agency, but they haven't signed one. Their options are limited following Foster Moreau's unfortunate diagnosis and top guys like Dalton Schultz and Mike Gesicki no longer on the market.

I jokingly tweeted to Tyler Eifert about possibly returning to the Bengals. The former first rounder tweeted a gif of his popular end zone celebration from the 2018 season.

The Bengals will likely address the tight end position early in the 2023 NFL Draft, but the thought of Eifert catching passes from Joe Burrow is fun, even if it isn't going to happen.

Eifert hasn't played in the NFL since 2020. The 32-year-old had 221 receptions for 2,501 yards and 26 touchdowns in eight seasons.
