Analyst Believes Bengals Should Call Texans About Deshaun Watson

Watson is reportedly unhappy in Houston

CINCINNATI — Texans star quarterback Deshaun Watson is unhappy in Houston according to multiple reports.

The three-time Pro Bowler had the best season of his career in 2020, but a lack of communication and mixed messages from the front office has many around the league wondering if Watson is going to be traded this offseason

One analyst thinks the Bengals should join 25 other teams and at least inquire about the Texans' star quarterback.

Dan Orlovsky mentioned six franchises on Twitter that shouldn't be interested in Watson. He named the Chiefs, Seahawks, Buccaneers, Bills, Chargers and Packers.

The former Lions quarterback thinks the other 26 teams should reach out to the Texans.

Fox Sports analyst Geoff Schwartz responded "If Chargers are on this list, then so are the Bengals."

Orlovsky praised the Bengals' star for much of his rookie campaign, but Burrow's season-ending knee injury has him concerned.

"The knee scares me. That’s all. I LOVE Burrow," Orlovsky replied.

Burrow is expected to make a full recovery after tearing the ACL, MCL and suffering other damage to his left knee.

He flashed his potential in 10 games with the Bengals, completing 65.3% of his passes and finishing with 2,688 yards, 13 touchdowns and five interceptions.

Burrow is a big part of the Bengals' future. They'll probably be in the minority if Watson does become available via trade.

It would be hard to blame Cincinnati if they were interested in the Texans' star. Watson is a top five quarterback in the NFL, but he just signed a big contract (4-year, $156 million) and the Bengals plan to built around Burrow.

The Dolphins, Jets, Colts, Bears, Patriots and Panthers all seem like ideal landing spots for Watson if the Texans do decide to trade him.
