Training Camp Day 3: Amari Cooper, Other Injury Updates for Browns
Cleveland Browns ramped things up a little bit on their third day of training camp. The team did more things as a whole and they’re one step closer to their preseason opener in the Pro Football Hall of Fame matchup with the New York Jets.
Rookie tackle Dawand Jones missed his second straight day of camp. Prior to practice, head coach Kevin Stefanski said that Jones was still dealing with some symptoms related to his illness.
Veteran wide receiver Amari Cooper was out of teamwork with a tweak, during conditioning, he was off to the side. Cooper was joined by Anthony Schwartz, who remains idle with a hamstring injury. Wide receiver Marquise Goodwin continues to be with the team while dealing with blood clots.
Cooper’s injury is nothing long-term to worry about and he should be back in the coming days.
Linebackers Sione Takitaki and Anthony Walker Jr. are dressed and with the team, but continued to work on the side on the stationary bikes. With neither player being placed on the injury list, it is a good sign that it won’t be long before they’re back fully.
Cleveland will practice again tomorrow, before having Wednesday off, then will practice four straight days to end their time at the Greenbrier in West Virginia.
