Chargers News: Derwin James Labels Bolts as a Team that Belongs in Playoffs
They say that confidence breeds results right? Well then the Los Angeles Chargers should have no issues winning football games in 2023. LA is gearing up to make another run at the postseason and get the bad taste of their AFC Wild Card game defeat last season out of their mouth. Safety Derwin James believes that Los Angeles is more than capable of being a playoff team once again.
It's a good thing when your best players have faith. Faith in each other and the organization. James has established himself as one of the better safeties across the NFL and a leader for this Chargers defense.
Los Angeles has expectations to win this season and with those, comes pressure. After all, they have a team loaded with talent on both sides of the ball and are led by a star quarterback in Justin Herbert.
This team knows they can do better than what they showed last season. Herbert battled through multiple injuries and they still reached the playoffs. They added in some new weapons on offense, including a new offensive coordinator in Kellen Moore that should help make sure that this offense never goes stagnant.
Head coach Brandon Staley may be on the hot seat as well if this team doesn't perform to expectations. This time is now for this team to show what they can do.
They are being picked once again as a sleeper team to make a run at the Super Bowl. It's put up or shut up time for the Chargers this season.
