The Los Angeles Chargers will be away from one another for a little while and that means that their front office will have about five weeks to make any last-minute roster additions and/or changes before training camp officially goes underway. Their current group was already looking great and with so many returners coming back healthy, there are not a ton of holes in LA's roster.

However, the Bolts will be constantly looking for ways to bolster their offense and give Kellen Moore plenty of options to work his magic with. The biggest key for the Chargers heading into the new season will be protecting Justin Herbert and they already serviceable guards to do so in Jordan McFadden and Zion Johnson but bringing some veterans could never hurt.

LA has been linked to a lot of the bigger names that are still on the free agent market but a columnist from Last Word on Sports has pinpointed an experienced guard that has multiple seasons with the Denver Broncos under his belt in Dalton Risner as a potential fit.

"Guard might not be the sexiest position in football, but all 32 teams should be interested in having a reliable interior offensive line. Dalton Risner isn’t a superstar, but he’s a reliable starter that can hold his own against interior rushers and clear out running lanes on early downs. Look for Risner to sign at some point in early July and immediately win a starting job."

Risner has proven that he is able to do the dirty work and he would bring a nice level of toughness to a Bolts squad looking to win big in 2023.

Let's see what these next couple of weeks hold in store for him!
