The Los Angeles Chargers entered the offseason wanting to get better on offense. They brought in former Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore to hold the same position and the hope is that Moore helps stop any potential for stagnant movement. It plagued the Chargers last season so the team was intent on fixing things this summer.

One move they made was drafting former TCU wide receiver Quentin Johnson in the first round of this past NFL Draft. They hope that Johnson will bring a new dimension to their offense and help out other receivers like Keenan Allen and Mike Williams. So far through min camp, it's been great for Johnson and he has even received praise from his star quarterback Justin Herbert.

Last season for TCU, Johnson put up 60 catches for 1,069 yards and six touchdowns. He averaged 17.8 yards a catch in the explosive Horned Frogs offense.

Johnson is an elite route runner where he has the ability to throw off defenders easily with his easy start-stop movements. He can change his speed on a dime during his routes and it allows for him to create space in the open field. Additionally, his physicality allows him to gain extra yards after the catch and he never quits on a play and is always fighting for extra yards.

Arguably the most complete wide receiver from this past draft class, Johnson has all the tools to be extremely successful in the NFL. The Chargers should benefit from his abilities, especially with the other great receivers on the field.

Having Herbert as his quarterback should also allow Johnson to thrive. Herbert slings the ball all over the place and lets his guys eat, each and every game.

Johnson could be special for Los Angeles and his game will allow the Chargers to open up the play book and run more free. He easily could be a Rookie of the Year candidate if he can keep his level of production consistent all season.
