Gronk Rips Dallas Cowboys' Trevon Diggs & Brother Stefon Over Buffalo Bills Troubles

FRISCO - There might be a time and a place for the Diggs brothers to go public regarding whatever might be wrong with the Buffalo Bills. But Rob Gronkowski is firmly suggesting that this is not that time and not that place.

"That's a little bit too much coming from Trevon Diggs," Gronk via Kay Adams, reflecting on Dallas Cowboys star Trevon using social media to involve himself in the Bills' woes. "It doesn't make sense. Stefon Diggs, you're paid on you've got an unbelievable contract, what's the worries? You're a main receiver. You're the No. 1 wide receiver. Josh Allen looks to go to you about every single time that he possibly can."

The "worries,'' of course, stem from the Bills' embarrassing 24-22 loss to the Denver Broncos on "Monday Night Football.'' Stefon was targeted just five times, catching three balls. Stefon has a bad habit of acting overly emotional when things like this go wrong ...

But this time it is his brother who is being accused of going overboard, first tweeting that Stefon "gotta get up outta (Buffalo)'' and following that up with, "Let’s not forget, he didn’t start going off till bro got there'' - "he'' being the QB Allen.

Gronk, the former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers All-Pro tight end and four-time Super Bowl winner, insists there must be "serious beef'' behind Trevon's comments - essentially hinting that there might be a Diggs family plan behind it all. And he is predicting Stefon won't be with the Bills in 2024.

"I don't know what the problem is with Stefon Diggs,'' Gronk said. "I don't know why his brother is tweeting that out like that. I think there's some serious beef behind it if his brother is tweeting that. It's not any fake news or anything. It's a reliable source."

Cowboys Trade for Bills WR Stefon Diggs is a 'Need,' Says Trevon

Trevon is presently on IR for the Cowboys and rehabbing for next year. Meanwhile, this season, Stefon has 73 catches for 868 yards with seven touchdowns, but the Bills are just 5-5. In his three-plus seasons with the Bills, he has 411 catches for 5,057 yards and 36 touchdowns. On the whole, therefore, Gronkowski wondered what the problem is.

"Your stats, they're up there," Gronkowski said. "It's not like your stats are going to be better with another team. In the last three years, you were contending for a Super Bowl. Do you know how hard it is to be on a contending team year in and year out like that?

Added Gronkowski: "If you ask me, there's been smoke, there's been fire for the last two years about Stefon Diggs and I don't think he's going to be there after this year with the Buffalo Bills ... That's how you don't win games. Your brother is tweeting out (that) you've got to get out of there."
