Ever since the Los Angeles Rams let Todd Gurley go back at the end of the 2019 season, the team has not been able to find another star running back. But this past season, that looks to have changed.

In a recent interview with the LA Football Newtwork, Gurley was asked whether or not the Rams should think about taking a running back in the upcoming NFL Draft. And the former All-Pro running back's response shows that he thinks the team has found their next star at the position.

"They good. They got Kyren Williams," Gurley said. "He was third in the league in rushing, but missed like five games. You tell me the last running back that did that. I can’t think of nobody. He’s a beast. All-Pro player. I love what he’s doing. I love his game."

Williams became the first Rams running back to be named to the Pro Bowl since Gurley back in 2018. The 23-year-old back did not play in five games this past season, with four of them being due to injury, and he was still able to have a stellar season.

He finished with 1144 rushing yards, which put him behind only Derrick Henry, and the NFL Offensive Player of the Year, Christian McCaffrey. He also had 12 rushing touchdowns, which ranked him in the top ten.

Williams put all of these numbers up in just his second year in the NFL, and he will be looking to improve even further this season. If he can remain consistent and stay on the field, then Williams could be a cornerstone for the Rams' offense for years to come.
