Ravens Free Agency: Baltimore Re-Signs Malik Harrison

Ravens linebacker Malik Harrison has agreed to return to Baltimore on a one-year contract after testing free agency.

NFL free agency is in full swing, but the Baltimore Ravens just re-signed one of its defenders who had decided to test the market.

Linebacker Malik Harrison has reportedly agreed to return to the Ravens on a one-year deal, according to NFL insider Adam Schefter.

Malik Harrison has reportedly re-signed with the Baltimore Ravens on a one-year contract.

Malik Harrison has reportedly re-signed with the Baltimore Ravens on a one-year contract.

Back in 2020, Harrison was drafted by Baltimore in the third round. Since then, he has started 27 games. Last year, Harrison started eight games for the Ravens, accumulating 20 combined tackles and a quarterback hit in his limited action.

Baltimore paid Harrison roughly $4.5 million during his rookie contract, but the details of his new deal have not yet been released.

Harrison may not be the flashiest player for the team to have re-signed, but returning players familiar with the Ravens' defense is essential to keeping the culture alive after the defense was dominant a season ago.

Another linebacker that Baltimore fans are likely monitoring is starter Patrick Queen, who is also testing free agency. Queen is coming off of the most productive season of his young career and was Harrison's draft classmate in 2020.

Last year, Queen made his first Pro Bowl and All-Pro teams while accounting for 133 combined tackles, 3,5 sacks, nine tackles for loss, an interception, and a fumble recovery.

Whether Queen returns to play alongside superstar linebacker Roquan Smith on the Ravens remains to be seen. Still, at least the team knows it has a veteran in Harrison who is familiar with its system and can either take on a more significant role or help another player learn the system if need be.
