Running backs went flying off the board on Monday's Day 1 of NFL free agency. But as the sun rises on Day 2, arguably the most accomplished back of them all remains available.

And the Baltimore Ravens have not only called Derrick Henry ... they have reported made him an offer.

The Ravens as of late Monday have a current offer on the table for something "in the range of $6.5 million per year,'' per one report. It is not known if this is a multi-year deal for the bullish back, now 30, who closed strong last year with the Tennessee Titans and has two rushing titles to his credit.

There has been talk that Baltimore will offer Henry a two-year, $20 million deal; that has apparently not come to fruition. We do not know, though, that even that number would represent a massive pay cut for Henry, who's coming off a $12.5 million season in Tennessee.

He's also coming off a productive year. Henry rushed for 1,167 yards on 280 carries and scored 12 touchdowns. His average yards per carry last year was 4.2, down from his career average of 4.7, but that could be due to a down season for the Titans' offensive line as much as anything.

According to Spotrac.com, Henry has a predicted market value of $10.3 million for a one-year deal, and that could be a problem for Baltimore, given the cap space it currently has.

Due to that issue, the Ravens were unable to compete for Saquon Barkley, who jumps to the Eagles with a three-year deal worth $37.75 million.

The Houston Texans and Dallas Cowboys could also be interested here, and with the Packers cutting Aaron Jones and the Bengals cutting Joe Mixon, more names have just been added to the pool. But the Ravens have apparently made their move ... and now await a response from Derrick Henry.
