Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports on Monday morning that former New Orleans Saints Strength and Conditioning Coach Dan Dalrymple is joining Sean Payton's Denver Broncos staff.

Dalrymple is the fourth former New Orleans assistant to join former Saints coach Payton in Denver. Zach Strief was hired away from the Saints to be Denver's new offensive line coach and Declan Doyle joined the Broncos staff as the new TE coach. Former New Orleans special teams coordinator was also hired in that same capacity for Denver.

Dalrymple was part of Sean Payton's first New Orleans staff in 2006. He remained with the franchise as Strength and Conditioning coach for 16 seasons until Payton's resignation at the end of the 2021 campaign. Dalrymple was replaced by Matt Clapp as Strength and Conditioning coach on Dennis Allen's New Orleans staff last season.

Payton's rights, along with a 2024 third-round draft choice, were traded to the Denver Broncos earlier this month. In return, the Saints receiving the 29th overall selection in the 2023 Draft and a 2024 second-round pick.

Payton subsequently signed a five-year contract with the Broncos. He had a 152-89 record in 15 seasons with New Orleans, taking them to the playoffs nine times, NFC Championship Game three times, and winning Super Bowl XLIV.

The Saints went 7-10 in their first year without Payton under HC Dennis Allen.
