Name to Watch as Steelers Next Free Agent Signing

The Pittsburgh Steelers are doing homework on a bigger receiver.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers are doing their homework on a number of positions. So far, they've signed linebacker Cole Holcomb, guard Nate Herbig and cornerback Patrick Peterson, as well as re-signing Larry Ogunjobi and Damontae Kazee.

They've also reportedly missed on names. According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, the Steelers were in on left tackle Orlando Brown, who signed with the Cincinnati Bengals. NFL Network reported Pittsburgh made a push for inside linebacker Leighton Vander Esch as well, who decided to return to the Dallas Cowboys.

The Steelers have been active in free agency, even if they aren't making a ton of moves. So, who's next?

Well, the do have some intrigue on a particular receiver from the AFC West who could add depth on the outside, and a big body they can try to work into the slot. He also brings an element to the receiving game that the Steelers struggled with last season and will certainly be looking to improve in 2023.

Plus, he's a quality special teamer.

There's a name to watch as a potential next signing for Pittsburgh.
