Cameron Boozer Drops April Fools Comment to Girlfriend Yva After Duke Final Four Loss

Duke star Cameron Boozer appears to be moving on from his devastating Final Four defeat to the UConn Huskies.

The Duke Blue Devils men's basketball team suffered one of the most heartbreaking losses one will see in March Madness during their Elite Eight game against UConn on March 29.

Duke was inbounding the ball from under their own basket, up two points with exactly 10 seconds remaining in the game, to pass the ball around to each other before someone was fouled. At one point, freshman guard Cayden Boozer made a bad pass, which was deflected and stolen by UConn.

UConn freshman Braylon Mullins had enough time to set up for a deep three-pointer right before the buzzer sounded, and he hit nothing yet, giving UConn a one-point win and allowing them to advance to the Final Four.

In the wake of this chaos, Cayden Boozer drew a lot of criticism because it was his poor pass decision that ultimately led to the turnover and the upset defeat. But the bottom line is that Cayden was just trying to make the right play, and UConn capitalized on a mistake.

Cayden isn't the only Boozer on Duke. His brother, Cameron, to whom the ball was initially inbounded on the fateful play, was a dominant force in the loss, scoring 27 points while adding 8 rebounds and 4 assists in 39 minutes.

Boozer is a favorite for National Player of the Year and is likely headed for the NBA Draft after this season. And this defeat surely stung for him, given that it's almost guaranteed to be the last time he's in a Blue Devils uniform.

Cameron Boozer's Comment on Girlfriend's Post on April Fools' Day Turns Heads

Cameron Boozer is dating Yva Lauren Cao. The couple has been together since at least 2023, and Cao is currently a cheerleader at the University of Miami.

Cao attended several NCAA Tournament games and was presumably there against UConn on March 29. However, she has since gone to Washington, D.C., which was shown by her tag in an April 1 Instagram post that was captioned, "DC with bestie".

The top two comments are both from Cameron Boozer. The first one was a GIF about April Fools' Day, which is the same day Cao made the post.

He also added, "😍😍".

If there are any indication, it seems the Boozer is bouncibg back well after the devastating defeat to UConn. But he'll surely still be bitter when the Huskies play in the Final Four this weekend.
